Croque Paysan and Quiche Lorraine

 

French food is…exquisite. I’d like to state as a disclaimer, I started eating meat a few days before leaving for my trip, but do intend to revert back to the vegetarian lifestyle slowly over the next week or so. I learned a few things that I didn’t now about French food:

  1. They really like ham.
  2. They don’t ask you what kind of salad dressing you want but whatever they use is amazing.
  3. It did not fill me up.

Eating French was definitely an experience in itself. Each meal was like a little work of art on a plate. Above, is my Croque Paysan and my friend’s Quiche Lorraine. Both were fantastic, though I wasn’t sure how to eat a sandwich with an egg on top…so I just cut into it and ate it with a fork and knife. Was that right? I guess I’ll never know.
