Summer 2010

This one’s a bit of a throwback, but I’m gearing up and getting excited for this year’s beachy vacation. I’d just graduated from high school and to be honest, I thought this would be my last family vacation (thank God I was wrong), so I was pretty stoked. On top of that, even though St. Thomas is one of the US Virgin Islands, the drinking age is still 18, not 21; which meant I got to party.

Nothing can compare to sitting on the beach or your resort pool with a frozen mango margarita…except when you can savor it because you’re still too young to drink at a regular American resort.

It was also super relaxing. If you get the chance, I’d highly recommend visiting the Virgin Islands. Just the view is enough to calm you down and take you to a place where you don’t have to worry about deadlines. It’s just you, your book, and the sea.

…Oh, and a few million iguanas.
