Getting Texas Cultured

Yesterday, I went to the Texas State History Museum. As someone who assumed that Texas was a vast desert with tumbleweeds and cowboys, it was a very educational experience for me.
I wish I were kidding. That really was my perception of Texas….I’m embarrassed to admit. But it’s all good, now I know all about how it was settled and how it became a part of the United States.
And to top off my informative afternoon, we went out to an alternative country show at a bar last night. I felt very out of my element to say the least…but it was fun. And I guess I can tolerate country music now.
